Today, the company Cosaruci offers a preparation to easily and conveniently make almond milk at home. Made with only natural products, without preservatives and colorants, this variant features 100% almonds including the dark-colored skin. On the palate, the beverage has a pleasantly grainy texture due to the presence of finely ground almonds. Almond milk is made from Pizzuta d'Avola almonds, a native variety originating from Avola, also used for the production of sugared almonds, part of the Slow Food presidium. It is a very aromatic almond with good consistency, also excellent nutritional properties, as they are a source of unsaturated fats, polyphenols, vitamin E, and magnesium. This variant is richer with the concentrate obtained from unpeeled and toasted almonds.
