To obtain split green peas, we start with whole green peas, grown exclusively using traditional and organic methods, respecting nature. At Perle della Tuscia, they use a mechanical process to hull and remove the outer skin. This method retains all the essential nutrients of the legume and keeps its green color. The dense and sweet pulp, rich in proteins, fibers, minerals, and low in fat, does not require soaking and cooks in just 40 minutes. With hulling, these peas are more digestible than whole ones, making them suitable for both children and the elderly.
