Dolci Evasioni carob syrup is produced exclusively with Sicilian carobs and contains nothing else but the water needed to prepare the infusion. Its sweetness comes from the sugar naturally present in the fruit. We prepare it in our workshop inside the prison of Syracuse according to our grandparents' traditional recipe, leaving the chopped carobs to infuse for several hours. The product is then reduced over heat until it reaches the perfect balance between flavour and texture.
