In a container suitable for blending with an immersion blender, put the chickpeas, oil, tahini, lemon juice and garlic, mix everything together and blend until you get a smooth consistency.
If the mixture is too thick, add 1 tablespoon of water at a time to adjust the creaminess; add the salt or soy sauce last, according to your taste.
You can adapt the flavor to your liking: if you prefer it tangier, add more lemon; if you want it tastier, add more garlic; or if you want it a bit more special, replace the salt with soy sauce and omit the water.
