  • Tomato puree350g
  • Seitan100g
  • Carrots1unit
  • Celery1unit
  • Onion1unit
  • Herbs (sage, rosemary, bay leaf)to taste
  • Red wine1 small cup
  • Tomato paste1 tablespoon
  • Saltas needed
  • Pepperas needed
  • Extra virgin olive oilas needed

Preparation

    Start by coarsely blending the seitan.

  2. STEP 2 OF 6

    In a pot, sauté the extra virgin olive oil with the soffritto (onion, carrot, celery) and the herbs.

  3. STEP 3 OF 6

    Add the seitan and let it absorb the flavors.

  4. STEP 4 OF 6

    Deglaze with red wine; when the alcohol has evaporated, also pour in the tomato sauce with a bit of water to clean the jar.

    Let it cook on low heat covered with a lid for about 30 minutes.

    Adjust with salt and pepper.
