Preparation

  1. STEP 1 OF 6

    Place the well-drained chickpeas, parsley, spring onion, cumin, paprika and salt in the blender jar.

  2. STEP 2 OF 6

    Blend in pulses until you obtain a coarse mixture, without completely turning the chickpeas into a cream.

  3. STEP 3 OF 6

    Transfer the mixture to a bowl, incorporate the oat flour and let it rest for 5 minutes.

  4. STEP 4 OF 6

    Divide the dough into 8 portions and shape compact balls, flattening them slightly.

  5. STEP 5 OF 6

    Arrange the falafel on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush them with extra virgin olive oil.

  6. STEP 6 OF 6

    Bake in a preheated oven at 190 °C for 20–25 minutes, turning the falafel halfway through cooking, until golden.
